My point is that I think you feel there's a very small portion of people on welfare who don't deserve it. I think there's a pretty high portion of people on welfare who don't deserve it. I know I said majority, but I don't truly think it's 51% or more. I mean that the left views welfare abuse as this tiny sliver of opportunists. I think it's a cultural problem that is very widespread. That's really the antithesis of our debate on this, I think it's a lot of people, you think it's a few. Unfortunately for both of us, welfare moochers aren't very forthcoming, so getting true data aside from legitimate fraud is pretty much impossible, so we just have to go by our opinions molded by our life experiences and what we see and read.

Show me an indication that AspenSniper was intentionally exaggerating. I mean, I fully agree with you -- if I am approaching the conversation from a different angle than he is, I need to change that angle or start talking to someone else. But from what I understand, AspenSniper is convinced that his points are valid and logical ones. I mainly think that because he often backs his opinions with a couple of paragraphs per post.

Yes, that is indeed you bragging. It is also you again making clear that you think you are more intelligent than you actually are. If you were really that intelligent, you'd know that having a degree does not directly indicate how intelligent you are.

You're now backpedaling to saying that I think the number of welfare abusers is "a very small portion of people". This is still based on things you assume; not things I have actually said. What I did say is that these abusers are a necessary evil, so to speak. Socialists know that there will always be people who abuse the system, but that should not punish the people who need the system. And that goes regardless of how many abusers there are.
