Long ballistic missiles can be tested on short distance by modifying the trajectory/curve [extremely vertical]
The 05/14 test was 787km distance but 2111 km altitude, meaning a potential of 4500km (some ppl said 6000)
So what will happend if NK make another test revealing a potential of 10000 km (but still landing in a relatively short range)?
By landing the the Sea of Korea, I mean a botched test. Currently, the U.S. cyber attacks on N.K. launching equipment have been quite successful, let alone the installment of multiple THAADs on the Korean Peninsula and an increased military pressure from Japan.
Likewise, N.K. may be slightly backing down. Dennis Rodman visits today, and they've released the Virginian student who was arrested during his study abroad trip (he has been in a coma for about a year; no updates on his condition yet as far as I know.)
Will be interesting to see if they release any other Americans surrounding Rodman's visit.
