The computer immediately shut off and I didn't bother turning it back on. I went ahead and tried to dry it out with a towel and removed the motherboard and my gfx card and set them aside to dry. What are my options? Is my computer screwed? I've googled and many are saying to give it a few days to completely dry off before trying to turn it on again.

Is using a hair dryer to dry the motherboard a good idea?

issue with this logic is if you miss anything you may very well damage it beyond repair powering it up.
Just wait it out and see what happens. I'd give it 4 days or so personally. if you have silica packs put it
in a container with them. kitty litter works also and rice doesn't do as much as people think.

So I put the motherboard and gfx card back in and the monitor didn't show anything so I took it apart. Examined it to make sure everything was in place and still doesn't work. Must I buy a new card?

Also, the computer has been on for a solid 5 minutes and my keyboard does not light up and my mouse doesn't seem to have the light (from underside of the mouse) on. I haven't heard any sounds from my speakers either. I'm using windows 8.1 but I don't remember if it is normally like this or not (aside from nothing being shown on the monitor)

Best off testing the GPU in a computer you know works.

Sounds like you may have fried your entire pc.

I'll try my best to do so. My other computer uses an integrated graphics card so I'm not sure if I can test it out with that comp. if I can't get it to work on another computer, do I get a new motherboard or must I also get a new motherboard, CPU, and graphics card?

If you give us a Speccy screenshot of your "other computer", we can find out if your vid card will work in that computer for testing purposes.

When you say "water got in my computer", how much are we talking? A glass spilled, you left it out in the rain, what?

Get SPECCY here: http://www.piriform.com/speccy/download
...get the FREE version from the: Piriform Link
...Speccy is a really nice system hardware/temperature, information Utility.
...simply install it...and run the program...then post a screen shot of the main page of the program, when posting a problem/question on these forums.
