Ok I'll go ahead and give that a try tomorrow. I spilled 1/3 glass of water into my computer from the top(the tower has many holes on top). I'm not sure if that's a lot but my screen turned green for a sec and my computer shut itself off.

Your other comp can probably run the vid card, if it's power supply can handle it.

As for the water logged one...it might be easiest to just take it to a local computer shop (non chain store) and they can test each part for you.
Then you will at least know what needs replaced.

/e I dunno what kind of budget you may have, but it may just be time to build a new computer. :(

Yeah I just talked to a local pc repair person and said that it's extremely likely that my motherboard is done since my mouse and keyboard doesn't light up when I start the pc.

Your power supply, motherboard and vid card could be fried...Or any of them could.

It's rare but your SSD and/or Hard drive could also be fried. <--- these you can test in the older computer.

Id on't know what your current rig is, but, either have a PC repair shop check the power supply, motherboard and vid card for you, and see what's dead or alive. Then you'll know what you have to replace.
Or...whether it would be better to just get new parts..aka a new build.

Yeah I figured as much. Highly doubt the hard drive is done for but the pc repairman I talked to said that mobo, power supply, gfx card could be fried and maybe the CPU (said it's very unlikely). I'm going to take the computer in soon but most likely, I'm just going to replace the parts with better pieces. I'm just hoping that my gfx card isn't the problem as that's the priciest piece of hardware that could be fried (my budget is kind of tight)

lmfao an integrated GPU would be better than that 8400GS. You been lucky its been running for this long.
What is kind of tight budget in dollars?
