i think its because ely was used to ge stand/offer to double money/beg for 2m/etc

and now new hype item is twisted bow, worth more than 3a long+ely and its useful

so ely lost its only use

also ppl are sheep, 1 person says they useless/sells, they all says ely is useless and sell it when its bis for certain bosses like dks, where it actually saves a ton of prayer and sucks up damage

e/ im a bit salty, lost close to 100m in past week trying to make ely flips work

Ely isn't considered BiS anymore for nearly every boss now... thus it drops in price... it should stay 3-4X the arcane price tho based on the drop rate I would think though...

Dks rolls off range bonus - dfs has higher range def and adds dps for melee - you don't need to worry about damage with blood spells.

Bandos solo is inefficient even with ely - duo you don't REALLY need it -- New stats of bandos allows for freeze method / range which is way more efficient

Zammy just walk under in duo.. not really worth soloing... I think it was tested that spectral blocks more damage with its stupid magic def stats too? and the prayer drain buff makes it even better

Arma - T Buckler... dps...

Sara - Veracs? lol.. ranging.. T buckler...

It is more favorable to take DPS gear in the "meta" right now and kill things faster rather than trying to tank through the damage. We don't have access to things like pack yak and soul split to supplement supplies...

But we have access like ecum keys to get into the room faster... so rush room.. kill as many as you can as fast as possible.. rinse.. repeat... makes ely meh.

Also T bow is stupidly good... the hype of a new big ticket item knocks ely off the pedestal.
