Some brain flow coming from this topic:

As was mentioned, I'm sure lots of people have played around with shit like this, but I have always been fascinated by the runeword "Destruction".

It seems that its best synergy might be with a druid. I was wondering if anyone has played around with a fury druid using such a weapon for funsies to see if had any effect on pvm (if invested into synergies).

don't bother.

earth shifter is a shit weapon and destruction is too slow.
even if both of them were faster, fissure and volcano aren't that good anyway

destruction is a good merc weapon and you can make successful ctc builds on kicker and zealot.
the kicker build would almost be good in pvp from the extra stun if kicker was a good build in pvp.

These aren't too bad on a fury druid though if you want a ctc build. Carrion winds help as well.
Much better than that shit hydra build on the front page anyway

Thanks for the input! Could destruction be put to good use on a kicker or zealot?

Now thats what I'm talkin about. Very cool. Funny how you don't really look at certain weapons or their effects in game until you start to theorycraft. I especially like the ctc static field + crushing blow.

Yeah, sorry. I should clarify. I meant, you mentioned that kicker and zealot have decent ctc builds. I'm assuming they do not typically include destruction, but I was wondering if they might overcome its slow attack speed better than other builds such that it might be viable.

tornado is best in p1 anyway so the crushing blow isn't very important.
but yeah the gear is pretty much standard fury gear with rings+weapon swapped out. skills would be mostly in the elemental tree.

You lose damage from taking off the standard fury weapons like 2handed botd or tomb then you lose more damage when you have to put some points in vitality thanks to not having lycanthropy maxed
It still clears reasonably fast and it honestly deals enough damage to kill players (although, being a shapeshifter, you'll never hit them)

destruction on zealot is alright, run conviction and a faith merc. Rest of the gear is basically anything you want. I went with phoenix even with the obvious drawback for the extra ctc.
kicker can just cast burst of speed and ignore speed requirements. I don't think there's a single enemy on d2 that's immune to fire+phys and you have conviction for that anyway

As others said: Destruction is a slow weapon for shapeshifter.
Windhammer is a cool weapon tho for a CTC druid build ;)
