I do believe the man is saying that the fact that you haven't defined your position and instead deflected with sarcasm makes it clear that it's indefensible.

I wasn't making a point Ricky Bobby. It was simple jest, there was no deflection...considering there was nothing to deflect from? But if you really must know i am pro-conservation & i don't think we should be depleting our natural resources if we can import them currently at relatively cheap prices. Happy now?
