I appreciate it man, I might have started a little overzealous with trying for PRs on DL, shit just felt good so I went for it.. I plan on sticking with lower weights for sure. And uploading more vids and pics

Not hating either, if you hurt yourself you're gonna be out longer than you've been in

shits depressing

I couldn't bench for 8 months and now barely do more than body weight and it makes me feel like a bitch but not as big of bitch as when I couldn't even perform the lift

Good idea to stick with lower weights until you can do the heavier weights with altercations to your form. You don't want to injure yourself mid progression.. hard to come back from injuries.

Nothing is more depressing than putting in all that work for nothing and having to spend even more effort and struggle the next go around. And sometimes you will never be the same. Trust me

this.. nothing is more depressing than losing all that progression and being stuck on the couch reminiscing on the old days while you recover from a mistake that was easily avoidable.

theres a lot of movement in your spine during your pull, you can seriously herniate some discs doing that. also a belt doesnt actually provide any safety. people seem to think that if theyre wearing a belt they can do anything and not hurt themselves. a belt is a tool that teaches you how to breathe and assists your bracing but just having it on doesnt do much in itself.

I know what the belt does, I didn't put it on for safety. It helps me keep tight in my gut.

But I couldn't agree more, I'm dropping weight.

Started adding a lot of core training to my regime.

3x5 Turkish get ups
40 yd sled pulls "bear crawl" x5
40 yd sled pulls "between legs" x5

Switching up my program again.. These 3c5 and 5x5 plans plateau so damn fast.. I'm trying the 5/3/1 program, slower but much more solid progression.

been awhile since I updated this post..

Few things have happened since than..

1. I'm getting ready to go to a DL seminar with one of the top ranked powerlifters in MD, Mike Hedlesky
2. I left my wife and am living on my own, and I'm being blamed for causing a broken home.
3. I've lost nearly all the motivation I've previously had before.. I'm sitting here getting ready to watch a Mark Bell motivational video hoping to muster enough will to go crush some fucking deadlifts today.

Down to 213, numbers are looking pretty good too.

stick at it bro - crap news about the wife.

down 30lbs since october is good going - i'm around the same weight you're at now. About to start stronglifts 5x5.

what's your diet? I'm assuming your eating at a deficit with that sort of weight loss?

I'm giving keto a try but i'm a little nervous.. lost about 10lbs over the last 2 months with calories in/out deficit but i think the lack of calories was hindering but gym progress - switching to keto with more calories to see how it goes.

Are you doing dietary keto or are you taking exogenous ketones? Just curious b/c taking the ketones makes it way, way easier.
