Update:

Started doing more of a cut regime, I'm so fucking close to my goal of sub-200..

Sitting at 211 this morning.

Also started doing high bar to just mix shit up a bit. I throw in some low bar towards the end of the set so I don't get stale.

Dls looking good, bench is looking ok, and skwaaatttsss are always gg.

Fucked my self up at the gym a few days ago. Recovering from a dislocated rib and a stripped ego after losing balance on a high bar squat and being bent in half with 275 on the bar.

Still doing everything I was before, but I'm just doing 225 for my work set for a few weeks. Shit hurts so fucking bad.

On another note, i have a fire truck pull this weekend to benefit the Special Olympics.. A group of 5 guys are pulling a ladder truck 30 feet. Should be a good time, and hopefully we walk away with a trophy.

Hard luck m9 ^^

Not as ego hurting as mine 2 weeks ago. Picture this.

Load up the bar with 250 kg / 550 lb on the squat rack. Unrack it (no intention of squatting it, I was doing heavy static holds) but to everyone else in the gym I probably looked like a goober bro lifter. Fkn hurt my back doing it to

Should have been in one of those God damn gym fail montages

 its ok, after that I decided to finish mjy workout with rack pulls instead of deads.. So I was doing 445 rack pulls, and I guarantee it was the same concept, looking like a fucking goober pulling 445 off a rack at knee height.

I only do zercher static holds, because nobody talks shit when you do 185 zercher static holds.

Feeling better since my accident.. Back at the gym cleaning and lifting.

My gym went up to a Usapl meet and took it home for each division.

My boy mike hit it hard coming back from a shoulder injury that required surgery with a 565 squat, 362 bench and a 693 dead, taking first in his weight "he's 244" and qualifying for nationals. His PR for dl is 815 raw, so he has plenty of room to move.

On my side note, my bench PR is up to 215.. I'm so close to 2 plates, I can taste it..

Iron is tasty, go get it! :)

The 225 mark is really huge for a lot of people, but it's also a huge sticking point for a lot of guys, too. When I was in hs, I got stuck on 225 longer than any other weight. Getting to 225 was pretty easy for me, but getting over it was tough. Even once I was able to move up, I was still moving slowly until I was working with 240, and then I saw another burst. I've since seen that pattern over and over and all I can say is that it's mostly in the head. If you get stuck on the way up to 225 or at 225, it's your mental state that will push you through.

I'm mentioning that in case you get stuck on/around 225. I hope you don't. If you do, just work on the psychology of the lift and you'll be fine :)

so I've gotten discouraged at the gym with my gains.. But I keep forgetting that I'm maybe eating 2000 calories in a day.. I'm going to stick with focusing on cutting right now and stop beating myself up about why my lifts aren't exploding in numbers..

Just fooled around with a bulking diet idea and I might share it and get the opinions of others.

Still cutting.. got a trap bar and 225 in weight at home to do some farmers with.

Currently running 30 min HIIT sessions and doing my own workout, training 5 days a week. Down to 208, so I'm inching my way to the finish line for starting my bulk.
