Goodbye sweet prince

This had to be done. Still a chance he comes back once reality kicks in and no one gives him close to what he wants

But in all reality he will probably be bitter and take a similar offer to what the vikes make from another team

Ya I agree they couldn't pay him that much after missing 13 games last year and his age, but still love him and only want to see him in purple.

Still a chance, statement from AP through Josina Anderson:

Statement to me from Adrian Peterson: "It’s been a great 10 years with the Minnesota Vikings. They know what I bring to the organization as a player, with my work ethic and dedication. I spoke with Rick Spielman this past weekend. The door is still open to find some common ground. I understand addressing the offensive line is one of their main priorities this offseason. In the meantime, I will explore my other options and see what path God leads me on. My main goal remains the same: to win a Super Bowl championship with a great team, which I also believe we have in Minnesota."

If ap really wants a title he'll sign else with a proven top tier team for a small chunk of change, i believe our defense is elite but the offense is kinda a joke and can't be fixed in a year or two by that time ap will be long gone.

It's called Public Relations, salsa. Even the players that don't make a fraction of an impact on the team such as AP still release statements similar to these. Meant to give the media + fans a feel-good story while simultaneously keeping all bridges intact.

I know... always sad to see one of the best to wear the uniform leave the team. Perhaps you recall the last time a Packer great left town and eventually joined a rival?
