To be clear, I think it's unlikely Clinton drops out of the race.

But if Clinton was replaced with Biden or Kaine, Trump would likely become the favorite.

There is a lot of be said for party loyalty, though. Democrats like Biden and Kaine would probably still do much better with Blacks, Hispanics and women than Trump, albeit not as good as Clinton.

It's obviously a situation the DNC wants to avoid at all costs, though, because as you pointed out, either of those two options (Biden and Kaine) would not have been campaigning for that long.

Some things are more important than money to me -- wouldn't want to damage my reputation among my network. I've built up a lot of goodwill among D/R/Is and that would ruin it. I'm going to make more than enough money from my bets, not to mention just the actual doing of my job.

Bernie Sanders isn't a communist, he's a social democrat. It's like 90% capitalist with a few socialist policies thrown in, largely in monopolies or industries with significant monopoly power, i.e. healthcare, energy, railways and so on. Educate yourself instead of using buzzwords you see other people use.
