I need to upgrade my laptop. Though my one laptop from 7 to 10 made me lose some programs and hardware.

Some aren't compatible with Win 10, so if you upgrade, they won't be carried over. :(

How many start menus does it have?

Well I see I made a mistake in responding to you...again.

The Classic Shell give you a choice of 3. Happy? :/

My problem with all Windows versions after Win 7...is not totally, how the START menu "looks" but rather what is "on" the Start menu.

Yeah foo, I know it has settings...I didn't mean what I could remove from the Start menu...but what Win 7 has on the Start menu, that they took away with Win 8.1 and Win 10 :/

No amount of Classic Shell will let you ADD those things.

Anyways..gotta go...have fun arguing wit yourself. :/

you must be some sort of stupid cuz they are the same with more features and customization if you want it

this shows me how really uneducated you really are

Mmhmm. Like all my Lenovo ThinkPad programs were incompatible and so uninstalled iirc. I still like it though. The windows 10 start menu is fine by itself.

Worst Windows 10 sacrifices: Automatic updates

Not a missing feature, but a change few will welcome. Although the Pro and Enterprise editions of Widows 10 will both give the end user or network admin the opportunity to decide when updates are installed, Windows 10 Home users have no control. Windows Updates will be downloaded and installed automatically as soon as they're available. This is a classic Microsoft move: it probably makes sense for the entire herd to be immune from security flaws, but end users will not like being forced to install updates at Microsoft's will.

We will reserve judgment until we see how it works, but for now we will say that the idea of automatic Windows Updates sounds like a recipe for horror and disaster!
