Berserk 2016 reminds me of Reboot.

I know 3d isn't new but it's not used nearly enough, so many shows use mostly or entirely 2d. If they can animate hand drawn stuff in 3d I don't see why most things aren't done like that other than cost. Isn't 2d just traditional from animation techniques that were developed decades ago. I think the future is a lot more 3d basically but when a show tries and gets slammed for it despite being rather good it's not going to encourage many to try in future!

What are some good 3d shows btw, other than Knights of Sidonia and Ajin

and yeah i know Reboot!

^Actually i guess I just don't notice 3d a lot of time, still this does something different with a lot more stuff being animated. Plus it manages to maintain a hand drawn look unlike other 3d heavy shows which often end up being more cg like.

Idk i never thought about it much until watching this but it made we realize I want everything to be done this way

I don't even see what the problem is other the the line shading, people were talking about the 180 rule etc :bonk:

Actually thinking about it some of it does look pretty random at the start, some of skeleton etc+art style weird mix of 3d+cg, I think people just got put off when it was something so anticipated/waited for. But it ends up a lot better, less cg contrast and the 3d action is awesome

there's no way you could make it better with how it looks right now.
would have to throw it all out and redo it from square one.
best to just make it a series of movies again or go with some OVA's because higher budget.

Unless you read the manga and watches the original. The animation now is utter trash. It would've been better if the used the style from the original series.
