It'd be pretty nice, if only to stop the whining of people when they lose because they didn't bother putting in the hour or two it takes to have a fairly firm grasp on how every race works in every state.

What they should really do is change the voting day to Saturday.

It's Tues because back in the day Tues was a slow day. With the common work week now, it should be changed to accomodate regular people. Then there would really be no reason to miss your chance to vote at least for a larger majority.

I dunno, I think it works better on Tuesday just because so many people are so short-sighted that they won't want to fuck up their weekend by wasting time voting.

Maybe. It was established to accomodate mid 19th century society though. Don't see why we shouldn't have already acclimated it with the way the 20th century changed society though.
