Hi, i'm interested in playing this game but I wonder:

What's so hard in it? The bosses? Monsters? Riddles?

Please let me know how frustating it can be before I buy it and 2 days later smash my controller to the wall :)

Hello Argand and welcome to Darksouls.

I would say what makes the game so hard is that there is no maps or quest guide line in game. You hef to explore where you can and figure out what to do through vague interactions with npcs and locked doors. On top of that all the environment is deadly.

Add that to a wide variety of enemies that hit harder than you for the most part and hard bosses... Its a recipe for pain and agony.

Learning enemy/boss move sets will help, but this is achieved by way of death lol.

What exactly does it mean that the environment is deadly?
Like burning grounds in zelda for example? poisoned grass? icy ground?

poison swamps
fiery lakes
Cursed pots/ areas
these have a build up bar, there are buffs to increase your res to them for a short period and consumables to stop their effects.

also by environment i mostly mean holes/ ledges/ drops where you fall to your death if not careful

add me

if you get it ill play with you.
you'll want to google how to find the white soapstone so you can join other worlds and co-op

sounds really tricky. not sure if i should give it a try although it's praised everywhere.

i'm kinda bored of d2 and poe. got a ps4 since december and only ff15 so far (which is boring after 150 hours as well).
thinking about either buying witcher 3, dark souls 3 or fallout 4 but never played any parts of these 3 series before.

I couldnt get into witcher 3, it was the only one I played of the series.. way too much dialogue.

fallout 4 is your best choice for upfront enjoyment.

but if you want to hone your skills and take on a real challenge, i'd recommend DS

I'd suggest Bloodborne first to see if you like the Soulsborne genre before going to DS3

So Bloodborne is easier than DS3?

"Too much dialogue" doesn't sound like my type of game either  story is fine but TOO much dialogue can get boring easily.
Maybe I should give fallout 4 a try then, but DS3' world looks like something I would like more.

Currently playing Bloodborne, enjoying it... but it's different than DS.

While both BB and DS have the parry ability, Bloodborne focuses a lot more around it using a hand cannon to visceral attack.

In Darksouls I either Sword Shield or Two-Hand. So in my experience I find DS more fun/ easier.

I also wanted to ask: If you die in DS3, do you have long roads to come back to the point where you died? e.g. in bossfights?
And how often can you save?
