pretty sure unless something has changed you can only get xp from mobs lower than 18lvls below you...

You actually do get 1 (literally 1) exp, which is enough to level up

It would take a million mobs per level, but if you only lack 1 exp to level up (which you do if you skill to the limit of the level), you can get it that way without endangering your skiller
