The whole thing seems pretty confusing. Russia backs Assad who is at war with the FSA and ISIS. The US (and France?) backs the FSA which is at war with Assad and ISIS. Russia seems to be mostly targeting FSA areas (but not necessarily FSA targets), while Obama kinda sits back with his hands tied.

...because if and when we take the lead role every Eurowhiner like you will be screaming bloody murder because we did it without your permission .

Most "FSA" targets hit are Al-Nusra. About 550 non-IS rebels killed and about 350 IS rebels killed according to SOHR.
