You do realize that the US. started it's Air assault on ISIS in 2014? And by summer had flown over 6000 missions? now Don't tell me the Russians are that much better than we are. Or that they have that much better toys than we have because I know better. There is very good reason to extend this fighting. For one it's called discretionary spending it's the signed blank check that the military has as long as this "war on terror" goes on or as long as they can keep enough people frightened of the scary radical Islamic terrorists. That blank check is very important to defense contractors, their lobbyists, the Congressmen whom "talk" to the lobbyists and the military personal who get fat juicy consultant jobs upon retirement. that's a tip of the iceberg

Bombs are always going off somewhere and it is never on the mainstream news. They're busy being fair and unbiased.
