Clinton is going to be such damaged good when the primary rolls around, and the base is going to want somebody who is for rising the min wage, ending constant warfare, stand up to corporations, champion universal health care, champion civil rights for all Americans (including gays), work towards a transparent government, while Clinton can say none of these things....she failed achieving universal health care, she is in bed with corporations, she is milquetoast on the minimum wage issue with her big donors, she is a foreign policy hawk who has voted with every war she has had the opportunity too, she is weak on civil rights.
Also, she might be indicted by the time the primary rolls around. When polled, people identify the word "dishonest" associated with Clinton. "Socialist" might not be the best, but at least it is honest.
If Joe Biden enters the race and picks Elizabeth Warren as his VP, then Sanders is knocked out. I know that wealthy white democrats (especially women I've met) don't want a president from the base and would rather have a corporate stooge.
Bernie Sanders is stronger in this election than anybody thought, including Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton. Never underestimate the kneejerk reaction the Clinton name inspires. Most of you are frankly too young to remember the vitriol that was occurring when he was president and how hated Bill Clinton actually was by many people. I know many Democrats that will mutiny if she becomes the nomination.
I'd be very pleased to lose this bet to Bernie.
By far my preferred candidate.
