The biggest reason to have could be that the government does have them

You guys act like people are going to equip these things and just fly around towns shooting, that's just ridiculous.

I am excited about the possibilities of target courses...I was thinking of equipping one with a .22 short or even .177 cal and then having a 3d type course with some flying obstacles

Yes how ridiculous... In a country where thousands are killed in drive by shootings from gangs and thousands more killed in cartel related killings each year.

If there is a 30$ drone that comes instantly ready to equip a gun to it it will eventually be used for criminal purposes. If there is a ban on gun equip-able guns criminals would need to jerry rig them to mount guns on, which they are far less likely to do.

Is it likely to have a massive effect over night? No. But the consequence is that a hypothetical future sporting event of 3d drone hunting can no longer be created. O wait i just had a genius idea, mount a paintball gun on the top of your drone or even an air rifle and problem solved!

next thing you know gangs will start equipping their drones with guns and paint them in their respective colours and we'll have all out drone wars

2243 AD: "Drone-Pac was shot down today in a flyby shooting while stopped at red light in the 320 altitude district of L.A. He was with his manager Suge-copter during the time of the attack. Police are investigating footage, and are expected to have no suspects."

or just incredibly safe ways to shoot up funerals. That was my first thought at least. Sit in a van 3 blocks away and light them up.

This seems really dangerous. Not sure what in reality it would take to fly an armed drone toward a person and fire would be. Certainly we need harsh prosecutions for anyone even accused of committing such an attack.

Wow you are getting so close to gun control you know how many lives would be saved by banning semiauto pistols? I mean we really don't need them do we? revolvers work just fine for target shooting. but really paintball and co2 pistols put holes and marks on paper too.

Bad guys are going to kill people it's simple as that. What are you going to do? maybe if they get more accurate and less rounds, fewer innocents will die? I mean a 17 round spray in 3 seconds with a clip change in seconds makes a pistol in each hand pretty fucking brutal dude. in a drive by shooting it's pretty easy to discarge over a hundred rounds of 9mm. hurtling lead in one direction without slowing down. maybe drone hits wouldn't be so bad.

If everyone is so worried about them look at the amount of mis-communicated drone strikes we've had in countries that we aren't at war with in the middle east. Our civilian death rate is running pretty high.
