This seems really dangerous. Not sure what in reality it would take to fly an armed drone toward a person and fire would be. Certainly we need harsh prosecutions for anyone even accused of committing such an attack.

as dangerous as walking towards someone and shooting....wtf people why do you think normal people will suddenly start shooting each other?

Wow you are getting so close to gun control you know how many lives would be saved by banning semiauto pistols? I mean we really don't need them do we? revolvers work just fine for target shooting. but really paintball and co2 pistols put holes and marks on paper too..

Semi automatic pistols and revolvers are capable of putting out the same number of rounds per second. Im sure you've been to enough shooting clubs to have seen a guy who can shoot a double action like its semi auto. Same goes with pump shottys.

Once again the banning of weaponized drones would harm very few people, as there are no current drone shooting leagues. Pistol bans would effect thousands of current shooting leagues and shooting competitions.

Bad guys are going to kill people it's simple as that. What are you going to do? maybe if they get more accurate and less rounds, fewer innocents will die? I mean a 17 round spray in 3 seconds with a clip change in seconds makes a pistol in each hand pretty fucking brutal dude. in a drive by shooting it's pretty easy to discarge over a hundred rounds of 9mm. hurtling lead in one direction without slowing down. maybe drone hits wouldn't be so bad.

You're still not understanding the anonymity that comes with piloting a drone. A drive by can be followed, people with the guns in their hands can be seen and later identified, etc. A drone is an anonymous killing machine.

If everyone is so worried about them look at the amount of mis-communicated drone strikes we've had in countries that we aren't at war with in the middle east. Our civilian death rate is running pretty high.

Im against domestic drones, im also against the use of military drones altogether. its not an either or issue whatsoever for me. The difference is that the GOVT will not stop using military drones, but they might ban civilian weaponized drones.

How is piloting a drone as dangerous as walking up to someone with a gun in your hand? youre missing the anonymous aspect all together. Go ahead and shoot down my drone ill just by another and get you later.

ive got no problem with legal gun owners having a drone that has a weapon attached to it on private property and following proper ordinance zoning. If they commit a crime with it, punish as usual. If an accident happens its the same as manslaughter and punish accordingly. It not the technology that is the problem, you cant stem this, its the action that an individual decides to make with it that makes all the difference.

...I just saw an interview with the top cop in his area and he said there is no current law against it .

Pretty sure it would be illegal for the drone to leave his property into public streets armed with a gun like that. In his property at low heights is one thing. Just like how you can't mount a remote controlled machine gun to a remote controlled car.. No different than a drone.

We already have RC planes/choppers. You can't mount guns and bombs on them and start flying them around.

Really this seems like a panic not based on reality or existing precedents. No need to waste time and tax money coming up with laws when there are already ones regarding this sort of thing on the books.

Couldn't agree with you more. Either you shoot some physically or you use the drone to shoot. Same result, a dead person.
