But neways i think this is a real possibility in the future. it does all depend on how esports grows, and if future generations follow physical sports as much as they did.

I am not saying it ever will happen, but i do think it would be cool, and is a possibility to happen.

Once we get a similar infrastructure for esports as korea, I can see it happening

Over there, esports stars are treated like sports stars here

Yes, but the pay for esports is greater already in NA.

/edit unsure how the pay for esports is in EU, but i would assume greater then Korea as well.

No, the pay for esports is like $40,000 USD here for LCS per player. Some teams make much more from streaming or sponsorships but the actual salary is not high

In Korea there are much better sponsorships available, such as phone companies, for the teams

there are a lot of people who are in college/school who love to eat food so let's have college scholarships for a food eating competition league :wallbash:

You're asking me a personal and opinionated question rather than supplying a real answer. But no, I would not try to go pro at video games for many reasons.
And until esports appeals to more than one specific area of the demographic, it will never be remotely considered to be incorporated into an educational system.

and congrats on whoever reported me, glad your parents taught you how to be a big boy

Yeah i'm going to hang myself because I wish there were scholarship opportunities in College

I was going to guess it would be more like 25k usd a year, i have not actually put a ton of research into my last post, and spoke with limited knowledge on the subject.

For that i apologize, it was a assumption based off twitch views and seeing donations.

Does anyone actually know the rough numbers on this? Profits of LCS players in different regions of the world?
