saw the imitation game recently

it was a movie about one of the most brilliant minds of our time which we lost to homophobia cutting short his contributions to mankind

he helped win the war and played an important historical role in the development of the computers on which homophobes express their homophobic sentiments today on the internet

it was the medical treatment for homosexuality which lead to him committing suicide and sure enough we still make attempts at such treatments today

curious where everyone stands on treatments for homosexuality

do you believe homosexuality is an illness that needs to be treated?
do you believe any of these medical treatments are safe?
would you want such treatments for your children if one of them turned out gay?

Interesting topic, to extend on this I wonder whats everyone's thoughts on psychological/medical therapy for transgenders as well.

do you believe homosexuality is an illness that needs to be treated? nope i believe its mostly genetic and even if its not people have free will, let them do what they want so long as they are not interfering with another's will.
