If it's an offense proven beyond absolute doubt, then yes, i.e. caught on camera with DNA evidence, witnesses and zero doubt of false identification, AKA caught red-handed.
If it's proven beyond reasonable doubt (enough to get a conviction), then no, regardless of overwhelming evidence, as long as there is any doubt, even if it would not normally be considered reasonable in criminal court (i.e. DNA evidence (which can be inconclusive) and a few eye-witnesses, but unsure if there could have been false identification because it was dark).
the idea of a world where cameras are everywhere adds an interesting flavor to the death penalty argument.
Think of the Charlie incedent in Paris, everyone saw that guy execute the cop, 20 years ago it would have all been witness testimony and heresay.
