I see it being popular for maybe 8-16 more months... it will fall off and die, just like any game. But fortnite + ninja may help extend the fad for extra time
The thing is that it's not just a "game" it's a genre. I have no doubts that more companies are already, or are going to start getting into BR.
H1 had a gold mine at their feet and straight up ruined it. Ever since Daybreak took control, it has literally went downhill with every update (the combat update officially killed H1 and its only gotten worse). Game is now beyond awful. H1 Pro League being streamed on Facebook btw LMAO LMFAO LMAO LMFAO.
Pubg is awful, nothing else needs to be said about that game.
Fortnite just has so many people, that even somebody who has only played for 4 hours can win a game. The only skill gap is building (and that really just depends on if your CPU/GPU is good enough to process building stuff instantly, when going against good players), but since there's such a big number of people playing it, you're pretty much playing against other shitties anyways.
Radical Heights has only been in development for 5 months, but has shown some promise, at least from the little bit I've seen of it. I'm not a big fan of their theme though.
As far as the COD BR game type goes, yea I see that dying fast because lets be real.. Nobody really gives two shits about Call Of Duty anymore. It's just like Madden... Simply a reskinned money grab. The BR game mode of COD will bring in people, which is obviously why they're doing it because they realize their game is all but dead as far as casuals go.
