What's the best set up for these?

I want games like battlefield to sound crisp and clear, I am also contemplating if I should buy a sound card(sound blaster z)

Any thoughts or tips for this?

Like setting up the technical part to it, I plugged it all in haha.

I just need to figure out to get it crisp, also why is it everytime I tune up the voice volume... It still makes the game volume higher lol?

This is what happens when you got a overpriced headset for free with a fuck face posting useless trash in a thread because he was bored in the morning.

So would like some help and tips on others who set up their headset/astro headsets and info about purchasing sound cards and which one.

I use the A40 mixamp with a pair of Sennheiser HD558s on my PS3 and the dolby headphone effect is pretty good and the sound quality is great. The headset is garbage though so I'm glad I bought just the mixamp and not the bundle.

mixamp is ok(not a console player), use to be a dolby guy myself until I tried out the recon with thx which is now sbx, night and day difference

you try the tape mod on those 558s?

No, not yet. They are still stock, cable and all. Before I got the A40 I used the Recon USB. The sound quality was mostly good, but it suffered from popping and would cut out constantly. The firmware on it was really shoddy.
