I don't think this is such a bad idea.

Probably the most sober and journalistic report I have ever seen Fox News do...

Shame they didn't stick to this line... they might have been able to gain some credibility.

Read leadership would be putting more resources into stopping Ebola at the source.  We don't have much to worry about with it coming here.  A man comes here, throws up in the parking lot, is dismissed from the ER before returning, and only one other infection?  And it's one of the people who were in the room with him in the hospital in direct contact?  I know its sad that this happened to the nurse, but if the fear mongering were correct we would have a dozen more.  Unless we put a real effort into stopping it at the source like we chased smallpox to the last village in south africa the problem isn't going to stop.

So, again, this isn't leadership, it's politics and fear mongering.

This is meaningless fluff.

Hearing calmly presented facts and logic on fox news makes me uncomfortable.

Ebola is hard to get right now, and right now it doesn't pose much threat to the United States. The key there being "right now", anyone who wants to play Russian roulette with a rapidly mutating virus doesn't consider their life precious enough.

Ebola has just made the transition from non-humans to humans, nobody knows where this goes of when it stops.

Ebola traditionally moves from its natural host to an infected animal, and then to humans through the consumption of bush meat / scavenging. It kills a few people and then returns to the wild.

This is the first time it has reached massive, densely populated human settlements. The virus mutates constantly, now that the primary victims are humans we should expect to see mutations favored which facilitate human to human transmission.
