thinking like that can get you into serious trouble.

so if a company buys another company, in america. the new bosses immediately let employees know that they won't get fired. that's bullshit if you ask me.

nobody and nothing is preventing an employee to leave, and get a new job

Let's hash this out.

Companies occasionally purchase other companies.

The new bosses often keep on the staff, and tell the staff that they will be kept on. This is somehow bullshit.

Nothing is stopping these employees from leaving.

What the fuck are you trying to say?

:wallbash:

Do you imagine that there's a difference between losing the ability to make a living and losing your job?

Often times they are the same thing. John doe gets fired over an opinion no one wants to touch him. John doe loses his job is too old or over qualified to find a similar job that pays as well. John doe gets fired there are no job openings for his trade in his area.

It's not like we live in an economy where employers are beating down doors to find employees.

The bottom line is it's a major consequence for having an opinion. It's a massive disruption in their lives.

No one on this planet is safe. We have all said offensive things at some point. Should we all be jobless?

Is John Doe really getting fired over opinions? Or are you just extrapolating situations that public figures find themselves in to John Doe? If a $25/hr boilermaker gets fired for something he posts on facebook, I'll get behind him 100%. But if some douchebag public figure who can easily get hired by someone else gets fired for something he posts on facebook, I won't shed any tears.

We observe the errors in your ways of thinking. Just like people today are shocked by the bigoted society and bigoted employer practices, in the future they'll be stunned to hear you people support firing people for their political, religious or sexual identity.

I think the opposite will happen. Employers will more freely fire people(especially Christians) for the views they hold. Our society is going to be more PC, not less.

My idea? No, that's the liberal idea of Christianity. We are all bigots for believing in the teaching of scripture.

Cherrypicking random pieces of scripture to fit your own bigoted opinions rather.

This is absolutely happening to average people. Even if that were not the case, celebrities should enjoy the same freedom that we all should.
