Ahhhh, haha. I think the first 4-5 issues, I'll give it another shot and I'll at least the first 10 issues in the next couple of days.

Also, have you ever watched Smallville?

Just thought of it when I was looking up some Red Son pictures.

Yeah. I watched some of it. I just really couldn't get into it. Like I said, not a huge Superman fan. And I felt like it was a little too much high school type drama/vs him playing up to the types of things I enjoy about Superman.

I usually only like Superman when he is getting his ass kicked by Batman. Especially when there are deeper metaphors involved. Hence why 'The Dark Knight Returns' is the greatest comic ever. :P

It was pretty much a soap opera invoving superheros. Have you checked out CW's Arrow? I think it's pretty good actually.

I'm at where Stalin dies, and Superman meets Russian Lana. Hopefully I can finish it by tomorrow.

slash?

slash is male/male or f/f romantic relationships. romantic relationships in books are not really my thing :/

that's actually one of the things i liked about smallville. plus lana  there's some fanfic about clark/lex staying friends instead of becoming enemies, which i'd like to read. i wonder if lex would help build him a secret "bat cave" of his own, and he can take the part of jack bauer's chloe

Here, but about to sleep lol. Yeah Arrow is ok. Nothing I'm super excited about. Better than most shows trying to accomplish a superhero-esqe plot I guess.

Grrr, they did #10-7 top Batman stories today. I don't agree with Knightfall being up in the top 10. It was good, but not better than some of the other top 25 books. And the "Daughter of Demon" story... uhhh what? I mean I get it, but honestly have never once heard anyone give that story that much praise. Top 25 maybe. But, not top 10 imo.

What was the point of Lex Luthor?
A human being who dared to challenge a god, he was surely the greatest of his kind.
I often look back upon those days and wonder what he might have accomplished without me, the triumphs he might have achieved in the name of his own species.
Perhaps he existed to keep me in check or, as someone once hypothesized, perhaps it was the other way around.
This is why he despised me so.

Cool quote from Last Son. Read a bit of it, got some work to do, and I'll try to resume it back later tonight.

After Last Son, I'm going to start reading some of those Batman stuff on that list.

Dude, I love soooo many quotes from Red Son. That book has some amazing metaphors that I think everyone should read. When you finish, I'll share my favorite.

Also, I'll get you my top 10 Batman list to read. :)
