More information here: http://www.cnn.com/2014/07/18/justice/florida-father-beats-suspect/index.html?hpt=hp_c3

Some people disagree by saying:

"The molestation had already stopped by the time "hero dad" was face to face with the perp. He did not intervene to stop a crime in progress. The only point of the beating was to vent frustration over his own failed parenting."

Which I could agree to an extent, but the father trusted him. Not every father is perfect and not everyone is trustworthy.

What do you all think about the Father? Hero or Out of Control?

What if the father killed him?

Reasonable reaction IMHO

i would have an unreasonable reaction if someone defended that child molester within arms reach of me however....i despise anyone that thinks the father is to blame and the father overreacted.

Wtf how could you think he didnt have the right to do what he did?
And wtf again, there's a difference between a beating and a murder

It's nature; your child is in trouble, you protect it from all threats

Are you saying that what the father did was objectively the right thing to do?

He didn't kill him and got him medical attention.

about as close to the right thing as a man can get in this situation

As far as I'm concerned a man who just assaulted his son was still in the house and making sure the assailant doesn't get away and doesn't have access to do it again is about as legitimate as it gets in my book. Same thing as walking in after a non-sexual assault took place.
