500 million is still a lot of money but to put it in context Naughty Bear and Homefront were around the 175 million dollar range and it was all marketing for what turned out to be bad games.

Yeah but Bungie is better than Naughty Bear ;). They did an excellent job with Halo!

What was the reason they gave halo away to 343? It must not be fun watching a game they worked on go to shit like h4

Destinys overhyped the maps dont even look good

No, when Bungie went independant they lost the rights to Halo. Bungie signed a 10 year contract with Activision and promised a new IP.
They wanted to try something new.
343 is the studio Microsoft made to continue the Halo franchise.

Explains quite a bit. God i hope they really study halo 123 and how the multiplayer is done right......hopes going downhill

500mil on a game doesnt make it good. Look at watchdogs the games unfinished literarly..they could of made a next gen gta but no that game got the half ass procedure

PvP maps doesnt look that good i agree. But the open world map is amazing, huge maps with tons of enemy bases/dungeon/things like that, different planet, and dont forget the tower!

The PvP is the only mode that doesnt interest me.

And even gta isnt that good for a 265 million game. Ofc the game is fun, but they dont patch anything. They released the game and now they dont do anything but releasing some lame dlc with new super cars

To my understanding 343 is made up of a lot of ex-Bungie employees who didn't want to leave when they split, so it should retain some the old Halo flavour just from that.
