at my community college I took a few online classes and honestly half the responses during the whole semester were on par with that guy.

it took a lot of willpower every time i read responses not to reply to these by asking if their comment was a joke.

I'm in an upper level criminal justice class and we have these online discussion posts. There is one guy in particular whose posts I always read because they're funny as fuck and depressing at the same time. Here is honest to god replies to some of these questions, and yes he is passing the class.

1. Is permitting officers the power to use their own discretion a negative aspect of policing?

A: 1. yes it does becuase the problem is where is the fair game

2. 2. Are citizens given equal discretion when interacting with police?( I.e: Do we as citizens have the right to withhold presenting our I.d. upon request from a police officer or refuse to having our vehicle searched without any consequences?)

A: 2. there are given to get info but the problem is that the problem is wheres the respect

I can't believe this is considered acceptable work in college. I find it funny because a lot of my classmates will agree with him and give in-depth and highly analyzed opinions in response to his.

LOLOLOL. Damn, standards sure have dropped.

I would have figured being able to speak/write in English is a prereq for most college classes taught in English...

also

in general they can't be penalized for poor english because it would discriminate against foreigners. plus, graduate courses are usually easy as hell. show up to class, turn in assignments, and collect your A. my friend's doing a masters in computer science with 0 background in it and getting all As since it's mostly writing papers/discussions and not actually coding.

He can't speak english, and he believes in allowing police to use their own power to encourage so-called fair game and also believes mandated respect for police officers? The fuck is this.

And to think taxpayers foot the bill for his "education" so far, and will likely be paying for his college as well.
As for how he got that far... isn't it obvious? Teachers in schools have every incentive to pass students even if they didn't really learn the stuff.
I come across that all the time as a math tutor... I lost count long ago of the number of students I've tutored in calculus who couldn't add fractions or solve a linear equation...
They just fall further and further behind as a result.

There you go widow, it's now a properly political thread.

Why the hell not... I have nothing against immigrants but if you want to succeed in college learning the language is(at most schools) kind of a prerequisite. Your going to be completely worthless in the workforce if you learn a bunch of stuff but can't communicate it to anybody.
