may have fixed the problem
removed .net, both 3.5 and 4.0
installed them all over again
tried to repair my hotkeys, wouldnt work, so i uninstalled. Then reinstalled.
No more .net framework complaints when booting up

Still might go to windows 8.1 for faster boot tho

The framework is only there for applications that need it, so if you don't have any applications installed the require .net you don't need it installed. If you like I will spin up a windows 7 vm and prove this to you in form of pictures.

You're probably right, but I just tested it...coz I have a recent backup...things that don't work w/o it....

Most benchmarks don't work...at Nvidia.com the manual driver search doesn't work ( the bright green one) however the older white one works. There's a lot of programs I didn't check...but these are just a few.

I know windows doesn't need it...on XP I never ran it...but after a little googling, it seems more and more programmers are using it in their programs or at least requiring it.

Programs like MS office and similar also need it apparently :/
