^_^ nice stuff
make a beast dish! fatty steak with a nice side

thx. actually, a store here has lamb on sale so i was gonna get some of that tomorrow. still undecided what to make with it, though. i think i just decided, though. gonna go with some mexican flavors.

tonights dinner:

penne allah vodka, with a twist. instead of cream i used coconut milk and finished with some chopped fresh tarragon to complement that. came out good, although it coulda used a bit more coconut milk for me. i didnt want to put too much, though, cause my wife doesnt like the flavor so much, and i just had a quarter can left over from some other stuff, and didnt want to open another can just to add a little more. served with some boneless chicken leg meat cooked with s/p, my all-purpose seasoning, marjoram and tarragon. also good.

for lunch today i made spaghetti and meatballs stuff with carmelized onion puree. yum.

dinner was tacos, but with these 'fiesta flats' shells from ortega. much easier to eat than a regular taco. i finally got around to using my of the habaneros my coworker gave me that he grew. put it in the pico de gallo. i also used purple pepper instead of green. also included ground beef sauteed with a bit of soy sauce, cajun seasoning, adobo seasoning and a citrusy paprika seasoning; and guacamole ofc.

what cut of lamb?

im not a fan because of the unique taste, unless its bombed with spices to cover it up, aka cumin/garlic/ginger/chili.

was rack. i wasnt able to get over there to get it, though, the store that had it on sale last week is a bit far away. another store had 'baby lamb chops' on sale this week, but it was just the ends of the rack or something, most barely had any meat on em. wasnt even worth the sale price...

tonights dinner is a cambodian inspired stir-fry. i was looking at a cambodian cooking website but most of the stir-frys only had one or two vegs, and i wanted to do something a little fuller, so i took elements from a few different recipes and combined them. this was the result:

vegs: shallots, asian eggplant, shitake mushrooms, fuzzy melon, chayote (been wanting to try that out. its good.), snow peas
seasonings: soy sauce, young ginger, garlic, kung pao, tumeric, s/p, scallions, cilantro

has a great flavor, i really like the chayote, too, im gonna have to start using more of that. my wife liked it also. dunno about my daughter, though. she fell asleep, so she didnt get to try it tonight, but when she does it might be a little too spicy for her. oh well, she can deal with it. B)
