Under the bios options for cpu and stuff there is a set of overclocking options and profiles you can save. It says overclock settings. I'll look later on my computer but it's in the section where you can change your multiplier. Though you don't change the main multiplier but the one in the overclock menu.

Also tighten up your vdrop. Let vdrop usually helps stabilize the overclock because it feeds constant voltage.

Edit. Here's a video that shows the menu you have to unlock.

I shouldn't have to use OC genie mode though, even when I do it pegs my cpu at 33/3400mhz I just showed matt via skype.
Need real advice not you searching google real fast. Plus if you read my post you'd know that none of the settings save.

Currently debating rolling back my bios though I might wait till Monday and call MSI to be sure it can be reverted.

here's an example of what i'm talking about...

So I messed around a bit and it seems turbo won't kick in either even after setting default settings in bios.
CPU is pegged at 3300mhz and it won't go higher. At this point I'm 99% sure it has to be a bad bios file.
Lets just hope I can revert the bios safely and it resolves the issue come Monday then I will try to OC it again.

ok so if anyone cares, MSI has advised against rolling back as theres a high probability of bricking the unit as the bios file sizes are different.
Board can't be serviced by any means as parts are no longer manufactured. Tried blaming it on the 2500k as being locked. Manufacturing
warranties are by date made not date sold so even if bought new they wouldn't help.

Going to pop cpu in my board to determine which part is actually defective later, but guess I'm building a new system and daughter can have this one.
