Soooo unless if I'm being retarded (I haven't done my own google research so I've already been retarded enough)... the original panel I was looking at in post #1 is a good choice? Seems about right.

Other than reviewing hundreds of Monitors?

Idk.

And not sure how long the warranty is on the monitor.

They're supposed to have a 1 year warranty iirc.

I'm not worried. Running 96hz 24/7 Come@mebro

I bet the reviewer wouldnt even buy one or himself.

Lol all the cons in his conclusion are exactly what the ultrasharps wouldnt have. With the exception of backlight bleeding. Thats just a common issue with every monitor unfortunately.

Op are you mainly gaming or doin real video/image editing?

You can still get the Dell Ultrasharp U3011 (which has no LED back light) on Amazon :)

So what $500 and below options are great for an accurate 27-inch IPS monitor?

I'm left wondering still.

I'll keep that in mind, though I am really looking to spend less. $500 is like a cap really.

If the difference is like 95/100 quality for $600 versus 90/100 quality for $400, I'll go for the 90.

I really want to just correct the issue where in various Adobe editing programs, when I edit anything, the color doesn't translate correctly to its jpeg form. Note that this issue is purely to do with the screen, I've got all color profiles and everything else set up correctly. I've used my iPad using airview to edit, and that helps, but it's laggy as shit and not really a great tool for that.
