truckers actually do make almost zero profit in the current market.
I've met quite a few truckers and only 1 of them were making more then enough to get to their next destination and continue living.

Has nothing to do with it. Guywhosebrother is correct, truck drivers, even cross country hauls barely make ends meet most of the time.

How is plastic and a few man made circuits

worth more than a limited resource that took nature 50 millions years to create?

Must be they are accounting for they 1000s of years it'll take plastic to degrade......
