AMD has kept up with the competition, but if i am not mistaken, intel as the ivy bridge technology on lockdown for another 15 years or so... they are expecting upwards of stock 24 GHz within the next few years with that technology (they were able to get this with a single transistor)... AMD is going to drown

will windows 8 be better for the fx series than windows 7?

Yes, the FX series does slightly better in Windows 8 due to being more optimized for multi core CPUs.

amd got a 5ghz stable chip running but not factory clocked at this
so they're just saying it's possible to hit 5ghz stable w/ watercooling.

you ever bought a semi decent amd motherboard ( talking about ~100-120$ ) w/ a decent amd cpu and compared it with a 2500k w/ a intel motherboard of the same price before making your fanboyism take over your thoughts?

you're a lost cause.

A.M.D.'s care to stop adding cores for a reduction of I.P.C. is a lost cause; they seem to be caring more about server and/or mobile C.P.U.s.
