Big thanks to BattleShip for advice/recommendations via pm

Stopped by Microcenter on Friday Mobo and SSD I wanted were out of stock
sales dude said to come back in a week

Will be getting these once I recieve an email from them

ASUS Maximus IV Extreme-Z LGA 1155 Intel Z68 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Motherboard
i7 2600k
Crucial m4 128GB
8GB Corsair Vengeance (will upgrade ram later on)

A friend of mind convinced me to return my corsair 850W PSU and go for the 1200W
it looked pretty sexy and tempting on the shelf in store
will be adding another gtx 680 somewhere down the line

Does anyone know if GPU back plates are worth getting?

Ordered the most of my water cooling parts today
Looking to buy a few more fittings when they restock
I wanted a few of these

Your thermal compound I was talking about. Arctic Silver 5 is out dated, but it does the job. :P

I think they have newer stuff. Mx-2/3/4/5, I think there is not much of a difference between 3-5 though.

Yeah, Arctic Silver 5 is just antiquated. I'm sure the MX series of thermal compound is the updated version.

Sold my cello on craigslist so I could spend lil more money to get 16gigs of ram instead of 8
Could anyone tell me if there is any noticeable difference between 1333- 1600 - 2000 - 2133 MHz Ram?
Is it worth while getting 2k over 1333?
I would like your opinion of which selection below would be the better bang for the $

Corsair Dominator 2133
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145330

Maybe get 2x of these ? Corsair Dominator 2000 i don't actually need the fan coolers

Corsair Veng DDR 1600
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233143

Or maybe get two of these for cheap and save $ for elsewhere?
Corsair veng 8gb 2x 4gb 1333Mhz $29.99 after rebate
