new area of earthquake string could be warning sign too the big 1 seems wierd how it bouncing backforth

This isn't abnormal at all. In the whole planet, there are about 1500 earthquakes every year greater than magnitude 5.0, and hundreds of thousands smaller than that.

Who the hell cares, 2012 won't be the end of the world, and earthquakes are nothing but a few shakes.
Quit this gibberish about earthquakes, I want to see more tornadoes!

i like how people talk about the end of the world as if earth will be destroyed. we're a small, insignificant, species on this planet in terms of number of species and longevity. if our species happens to die to a series of massive earthquakes, an asteroid or nuclear explosion, the earth will long be here, as well as billions of bacteria and other species.

1) I'm pretty sure they start by posting the name of the city where it was first reported felt. Then later they change it to reflect the coordinates of the epicenter.
2) Why do you think we're having more than the usual amount?
