Best team in baseball the past 2 years (no, not the hottest in the playoffs but the best overall).

I think the window is still plenty wide open LOL

Doesn't change the fact that other SP Rotations in the NL aren't shitty.

Pretty solid.

All we need to do is get Hamels re-signed long term, and we'll be fine.

As long as Hamels is resigned they will be in the playoffs the next 3-5 years with those 3 pitchers. Just have to get hot down the stretch.

With those 3 pitchers.. Halladay has 2 years left. Plan on resigning?

Farm systems are overrated rofl

look at the top players they've given up for guys like Halladay and Lee in the past years. How many of them are turning out like they were supposed to?

re-signing Hamels.

Halladay and Lee aren't going anywhere for several years.

You're confused

I'm saying having a great farm system is overrated based on the fact that most "top prospects" never amount to shit. And that doing what the Phillies have done, using those POTENTIALLY good players to get proven players when you are in win now mode isn't bad at all.

Most of the talent they've traded away for these proven players have yet to show much. Phillies could of hung onto them, and not be nearly as good as they are now.

It's funny what spending 260 million does to a team.

It's funny that 4 years ago the same team won the World Series with a $86 Million payroll.
