Could be a few things honestly.

Scenarios:
1) wings could have deal in place for LV to not draft mrazek (unlikely)
2) wings figure there are better goalies for LV to pick (fairly likely)
3) wings think LV will definitely draft someone else from wings anyways (fair)
4) mrazek has 1 year left on contract. Howard has 2. Wings could figure they have to keep Howard based on little league interest and don't want to carry 9M in goalie salaries.
5) could be afraid mrazek wants to walk when contract is up anyways.
6) Unfortunately, Howard played his butt off when he was available.

We'll certainly find out Wednesday.

It is interesting and I think everyone felt mrazek was the more logical choice but when you add scenarios like maybe mrazek said he's going to test FA, we just don't have the information.

Yeah, i heard this also.

Apparently his attitude, towards teammates and management is causing distractions, and affecting his play.....

I am disappointed this is how it played out, i really like mrazek, i think he is a fantastic goalie. i even have his Jersey from the stadium series. I wanted him to work out, but you know, if personalities dont mesh, then its time to move on.

Even if mrazek is a asshole he is more of an asset than howard.
Thats the problem with this team building it off loyalty, and personalities and not skill. Just hand out contracts to people that get along well

Well sure its immature, but thats just how he is, you cant change him if thats his personality... It just doesnt mesh with the rest of the team. I can understand where your coming from, but you know, if he's not willing to change for the team, the team shouldnt keep him.







Oh i agree, if its just between blash & mrazek, just dump blashill. But i think its problems with several people on team and management, you cant just dump everyone that doesnt agree with him, you have to dump the one bad apple.
