Sheahan should be left unprotected, and Vegas SHOULD take him. He would be good for Vegas, and we don't need him.
Glendening is only good at winning draws on the 4th line, he can go.
Helm is not bad in my opinion, but its all downhill from here. Like you said he will not be getting any better.
I would trade him for a 3rd, MAYBE could get a 2nd because of his speed and his decent point production last season, but i think that is pushing it.
I dont think Svech is ready yet, i was pushing for him to get called up all season, he did for a bit, but after watching him in person for two games in SJ and then streaming the entire series vs Syracuse, i dont think he is quite ready yet.
Our first line should be Mantha/Z/Larkin. Both guys worked great in their individual seasons spent with Z, i think putting all 3 together could be a dagger of a first line.
Idk, i think we have a good couple more season stuck in the bottom or the middle, but i dont think it is as bad as many of the "professional" analysts say it is.
We have potential, it just needs to be utilized correctly. Defense needs to be fixed too, guys like Ericsson & to a lesser extent Kronwall need to be taken out. Let the kids shine, Sproul, Jensen, maybe Turgeon, Russo.
