Don't think I heard anything about Lindholm being done, just being day to day. Either way not concerned about him as long as gets some warm up games before the playoffs.

Some reporter asked him if they consider shutting him down, cuz Tocchet obviously knew lindholm was playing hurt before he mentioned it to the media. He said he's not sure about shutting him down til he gets it looked at, so they'll just go by feel and day to day. I guess they got his results today, and it was probably more serious than they hoped. So they moved Demko to IR to call up bains to fill for lindholm til he's back.

My guess is that they're trying to figure out if it's an injury he can play through or if lindholm can play through the pain or something. Rather than opting for a surgery and shutting him down.

they'll most likely just let him play in playoffs even if he's not at 100% cuz lindholm probably wouldn't wanna waste this opportunity to play in the playoffs. Also the team would prefer him to play if it's possible, cuz in teams perspective, if he gets surgery or shuts down. He's most likely gone unless he signs a team friendly 6m cap avv which is unlikely cuz he turned down 8/9m avv with the flames lol.

hm, hope the move was about creating some cap room for call ups rather than his injury being that bad

Demko to IR is to create cap space to call up Bains. They called up Bains to replace Lindholm until he's back. Tocchet said it's a minor injury, but then he's not playing him? Lol. I guess they're just trying to keep him healthy as he can be when playoffs start, cuz the Canucks are pretty much a lock and nothing much left to play for atm.

Joshua looked great in his first game back. I think lindholm between joshua/garland ain't too bad. Keep blueger on the 4th line. Sucks the Canucks couldn't get Guentzel for this run

Looks to be a hand injury for Lindholm, perhaps not one that will heal until off-season rehab. At this point we just have to assume he's going to be a defensive 3rd liner.

Joshua's return has added back that secondary scoring punch. Him and Garland have some serious chemistry. Will be interesting to see if we can afford his next contract. At this point we would have to consider paying him like a 2nd liner (despite the small sample size) if that's what he's demanding and using him and Garland as our 2nd line wingers. Going into next season with Mikheyev and without Joshua would be disappointing.

Team just not looking that good lately. Offense is a struggle. Barely beat a rebuilding team on a road B2B. Not instilling much confidence for the playoffs.

Surely it's just load management and the boys are conserving some energy for the playoffs

Some reddit detective found a clip of lindolms possible injury.

https://www.reddit.com/r/canucks/comments/1bs44f1/lindholm_injury_vs_avalanche_feb_20/

Top comment:

Since that happened:

14 games 1 goal 2 assists 3 points

In the games before that his stat line was:

8 games 4 goals 2 assists 6 points

I prefer garland/joshua on the 3rd cuz they feast against other bottom 6 teams. I hope everyone stays healthy and they make it far into playoffs, but it's the Canucks. They gonna drop like flies.

Imagine if alvin got geuntzel instead of lindholm...

Or drafted Benson

Oh well, lindholm wasn't too bad before playing through injury and having a RHD defensive center with good face off was something the Canucks needed.

The biggest issue is Petey mailing it in after getting his bag locked up. 8 out of 13 games without a point since signing that contract.
