Lakers are in a tanking mode, at least they should be. Only reason to play is give the young guys playing time. Boogie has one more year on his contract and he can leave. Why give up Ingram when we can potentiely get both next year. We don't need boogie this year we are not going to make playoffs.

Don't need another Dwight Howard situation and lose assets for a one year lease that did not help.

If we were a playoff team this year then OFC we would have traded Ingram for Cousins. Lakers are 100% sellers this this season and I'm glad they didn't accept the trade Ingram for cousins. The dude would just leave next year LOL.

Guys, lets be clear on one thing. If we wanted, we could probably have gotten both DMC and/or Butler with trade offers. Looking at how shit the offer was that actually got DMC, and how horrible of a GM Divac is, any trade that included just one of our young guys (Dlo, Randle or Ingram) would've been enough.
As for Butler, I'm sure they want the same basically.

Now, why should we do this? If they won't promise they re-sign, why do it? We're at 19-39, we're not making the playoffs. Our first rounder is top 3 protected, we'd probably lose that pick if we trade for either DMC or Butler.
As for Lou, I hope he gets to a nice playoff contender, he's a great guy. If we can net some young stud or a first rounder, I'm super happy. It's a process to get out of the trench, you can't cheat your way out.
