If the Sixers really do pick Simmons with #1, I think the Lakers are lucking out. I think Ingram is the best pick.

Good shooter, crazy length and wingspan, huge defensive upside.

Something just seems off with Simmons to me. He's obviously got the highest ceiling in the draft, but personality/work ethic wise he concerns me. And his team in college did a lot worse than what you'd think considering how amazing he should be.

It's definitely an exciting time in Lakerland. This is one of the most important offseasons in franchise history and that's not an understatement. I just wish this Free Agent class was stronger. Lakers have much more to sell now than they did at any point the last 5 years. It's just a shame that it's during a relatively weak FA class(I don't really count KD and LeBron as true free agents since in all likelihood both will re-up with their respective teams).

I think the Lakers have a chance to steal some pretty good FA guys that can be starters now and role players later; that or maybe a locker room gem to help provide some leadership.

Lebron is a c*nt, and if the Cavs get crushed in the finals (assuming my beloved Raps fail), I think it's possible that he will walk.

Durant would probably love to play in LA but there are two problems: 1) I don't think he can win a ship there in the next 3-6 years; 2) he will likely wait for Westbrook (next year). If they both like the idea of going to LA, and if LA makes some good moves this year, you never know.

Derozan is a realistic pick-up for you guys. I imagine that Lowry would be the one guy who'd die before letting him go, but it's also quite possible that the organization itself will shoot for him out of loyalty -- and, of course, he's a good player. If the Lakers make him an offer and the Raps can't match it, maybe he'd walk. I know he really likes Toronto but he's from near LA and I would think they are positioned to offer him more money. Either way, don't you dare touch Bismack :P He must stay in TO :D

Another way to build -- and a really great way -- would be to get Whiteside and then shoot for Wade. I don't know Wade's contract situation and I am certain he'd like to retire in Miami, but he could fly in a package deal if he sees a better opportunity to win. Again, I don't know his contract situation, but if there is anyway he could become untied, he and Whiteside would make a really good combo pick-up.

LA is more attractive than a lot of losing teams right now because stars want to shine there, it has a massive tradition, and afaik they have a wad of cash to move on -- and of course a #2 pick. There is good reason for hope :)

Put your faith in the fact that the league wants the Lakers to be successful, so they will be, the team will be good in a year or two.

6'5 PG D'Angelo Russell
6'5 SG Jordan Clarkson
6'9 SF Brandon Ingram
6'9 PF Julius Randle
Anything but Hibbert

Lou Williams scorer off the bench
Larry Nance Jr PF off the bench

Our team looking young and great.
Walton getting Shaw as an assistant would be huge as well.

Dude shot like 42% from deep, just what we need.
Let Randle do work in the paint and ah, I'm excited.

D'lo and Ingram pick and pop should be really fun too. Just hope Ingram can really grow into his frame. He'd be a really fun as smallball 4 running pinch post sets in Luke Walton's offense.
