MLB.com has the Orioles listed as favorites to sign Victor Martinez. I'm not sure that is likely though because if memory serves correct he wants to be a full time catcher not a full time 1B.

Hopefully MacPhail comes through this off season for the first time since he traded Bedard and Tejada and actually signs the bats like he has said he would for the last 3 years.

No, and he won't anytime soon. He calls a good game behind the plate and his defense is pretty good. His arm is amazing but he isn't the most accurate. There is no way the O's would consider moving Wieters to 1B.
