I wouldn't mind bringing in Lance Berkman or even Adam Dunn to the Astros. Both are Houston-area guys. And first base is a position of weakness for Houston right now. Brett Wallace has a lot of promise but he struggled a lot last season when the Astros acquired him. Didn't live up to the hype. Hopefully a full off-season and perhaps some winter ball will help him progress.

Houston had Chris Johnson at third base. He was quite a surprise and put up respectable numbers, displayed some power also. Hunter Pence got hot after the All-Star break. Those two guys (along with the starting rotation) carried the team and were a big reason Houston won a lot of games in the second half.

I would feel better with an upgrade at first base, second base and shortstop though.

Ryan i am pretty sure that they came out and said you would be passing on berkman, and assumningly any other first basemen. In the long run, this is probably a good idea. Might as well see what what has to offer.

But yea you guys should look into bringing in a SS with some pop, maybe hardy or someone looking to rebound.

You should stop thinking, you are bad at it. If they can get someone the same price and way more value than Crawford I am sure they would be willing to spend for it. The problem with Crawford for them is that he isn't the best bang for their buck with the available free agents.
