Does anyone know if Washington is switching primarily to a 3-4 defense? Wouldn't fletcher be kind of useless?

they are switching to the 3-4 for sure, fletcher isnt built to play ilb in a 3-4, but i guess that's what he's going to do anyways.

Very interesting... switching to a 3-4 defense when they already had a very good defense could potentially be bad or they could improve even more. Shanahan I'm sure knows what he's doing.. just seems odd when you have Fletcher & Haynesworth who is against a 3-4 in every sense

Fletcher is one of my favorite players on the Skins that i respect... guy is a tackling machine

ya i didnt really understand the switch since we are loaded with 4-3 personnel and our defense has been rape the last two seasons, but shanahan is all for the 3-4. i kind of like it because now orakpo will be the centerpiece of the defense and i expect to play very well as a 3-4 olb

If it was @washington, i'd be made but wouldn't think much of it cus washington has a pretty good team on paper.

If we lost at home it'd be different

Washington usually gives you fits.. going to be interesting.. also going to be interesting to see if the Giants dominate the Skins like in the past

Sucks we have to wait till week 7 to play Dallas... Giants don't have a fucking divisional game for 7 weeks.. we have such a back loaded schedule

may work out to advantage. if all easy games are at the front of the scedule, and they get hot, they may be going into those tough games with confidence (cus of win streak) and come out ontop. then again, if they start to lose games at the back end, it could continue and get ugly fast

I also love the fact we play Carolina week 1.. even though it's a lack luster team to open the season against in terms of history.. but it is what it is

We get a chance to get payback for last season and we will put our run defense to the test vs a top running game

Would of LOVED to play Dallas for the homer opener.. even Washington with McNabb there now
