after seeing multiple posts here requesting information on how to remove back grounds I decided to make this tut. This is the first time I have tried using the pen tool to remove backgrounds and it is by far better then any other method I have used. Basically this is just a copy of another tutorial that I followed but with my own render and extra pictures so I cannot take credit for this.

I only did it because you mentioned using the pen tool to do bg removals. so I googled around and learned myself how now hopefully everyone else can learn from this.

LOL..um..Steelers, youre not supposed to use that many anchor points. Have you ever noticed the handles coming off of them? Drag them around to make curves.

Looks like you may need a couple pen tool tutorials yourself before you pass on incorrect usage

didnt see any handles and seems to work just fine that way. besides if you read what I typed at the very top I said this was the FIRST time using the pen tool to do this.

Yeah, it 'seems' to work fine but its rather pointless to have that many points when you only need like 1/4 of them, if that...

And, I didnt read that, but should you really be making a tutorial on something you, yourself, are new at? You should know how to do something, and do it well before you make a tutorial on it.

yes, i go through curves.. never even looked at the tut, lol.
just was happy there was one, curves definetely end up w/ sharper curves w/ less jagged pieces, but do what you will

And side note about the tut, instead of actually deleting parts of the layer, you should use a layer mask.
